Reporting Entity System Transformation (REST) Program
Reporting Entity System Transformation (REST) Program
The REST Program will replace the current AUSTRAC Online interface with a modern and user-friendly platform. This will improve AUSTRAC’s ability to process the significant volumes and types of data that you and other regulated entities provide to us on a daily basis.
Several features have been delivered under the REST program to date, including:
- New capability to enable reporting entities to submit increased volumes of International Electronic Transfer Funds Instruction (IFTI-E) transaction reports
- Quick reference guides to navigate the new user interface for impacted reporting entities (ISO 20022 guidance).
- New IFTI-E schema enabling our entities to report in international standard format (ISO 20022).
- New enrolment and registration forms to provide a more user-friendly experience for providing your business information to us
- New sentiment function, an opportunity for users to provide feedback on the features and functionalities important when completing enrolment and registration forms
We have also delivered internal features to support our engagement with reporting entities, including:
- A content management capability to more efficiently deploy the Annual Compliance Report and collect relevant and timely information from you and other reporting entities
- An automated levy calculation system to enhance industry contribution processes with reporting entities.
We are continuing our work on strengthening and upgrading our online security, to ensure a good user experience.
We are focused on delivering the following features in 2025:
- A new AUSTRAC Online platform to replace the current AUSTRAC Online
- Uplifted Security features and functionality, further strengthening the security of information provided to AUSTRAC
- Uplifting transaction reporting processes.
