How to write a good quality suspicious matter report

AUSTRAC has released a new anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) e-learning module on quality reporting for suspicious matter reports (SMRs).

This module will help you:

  • submit good quality suspicious matter reports
  • adhere to best practice
  • avoid common mistakes.

It joins the existing AUSTRAC e-learning suite, which will increase your understanding of AML/CTF regulation and your compliance obligations.

About e-learning modules

Our modules are self-paced and take around 20-25 minutes to complete. AUSTRAC recommends accessing them from a desktop computer for the best user experience.

This does not replace the AML/CTF risk awareness training that you are required to provide to your staff.

AUSTRAC’s e-learning suite forms part of our ongoing commitment to provide meaningful guidance and outreach activities across the broad span of reporting entities we regulate.
