Induction program for new reporting entities
If you have recently enrolled with AUSTRAC, you might be looking for help to understand your AML/CTF compliance obligations.
Earlier this year, AUSTRAC launched monthly induction workshops to introduce new reporting entities to AML/CTF compliance.
About the induction program
If you’re new to AUSTRAC, you can join us for three workshops, including:
- AML/CTF fundamentals: An overview of the AML/CTF framework and program requirements such as customer identification procedures, ongoing customer due diligence and transaction reporting.
- Risk assessments: An in-depth look at how you can identify, mitigate and manage risks such as money laundering, terrorism financing and other serious crimes. This workshop also demonstrates how to conduct an ML/TF risk assessment.
- Quality reporting: A detailed explanation of your reporting obligations and why these are important. It also provides tips on what quality reporting looks like and what to avoid.
People who have attended so far have told us they found the workshops useful in improving their understanding of their AML/CTF obligations.
How do I get involved?
If you are a business who has been enrolled or registered since the beginning of 2020 and would like to attend the induction program please contact the Industry Education and Outreach team via induction@austrac.gov.au.
