REST Program end of year update

On Saturday 9 November 2024, we launched updated enrolment and registration forms on AUSTRAC Online.

We have made it easier and faster for you to enrol or register a new business, and update your details. The new enrolment and registration forms are available now to all reporting entities via AUSTRAC Online.

There are quick reference and updated enrolment and registration guides to assist you. Visit the enrolment and registration section of the AUSTRAC website for more information.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure you:

  • update your browser favourites or bookmarks to the new form URLs - the new enrolment and registration forms have new URLs and any links saved in your browser will no longer work
  • update your email contacts – the email contact for enrolment and registration enquiries is now contact@austrac.gov.au

Thank you for completing the enrolment and registration survey

Thank you to those who completed the enrolment and registration form survey in October. Your responses have informed the new forms and will shape future enhancements to the services and tools we provide to you.

What’s coming up

The REST Program will now focus on delivering the final stage of the project, which will deliver an enhanced engagement portal.

The new portal will focus on ways to:

  • improve user accessibility and user experience
  • enhance platform security against cyber security threats
  • improve data quality.

We will be engaging with reporting entities to plan enhancements to transaction reporting processes and ensure a smooth transition to the new platform. You will hear from us in early 2025, with opportunities to engage and provide feedback as we work together to design improvements over the next 12 months.

We recognise the effort and lead times involved in the transaction reporting process changes for many reporting entities, particularly those that submit high volumes of reports to AUSTRAC. We will continue to engage with reporting entities to ensure there is sufficient time to prepare for upcoming enhancements, building on what we know from previous successful upgrade rollouts.

How to have your say

In early 2025, we will give reporting entities the opportunity to experience the new platform prior to release, and provide feedback to further uplift the user experience.
