Subscribing to media release alerts
How to subscribe
To subscribe to AUSTRAC's media release RSS feed you will need an ‘RSS reader' or ‘aggregator'.
What are RSS feeds
News feeds are RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds, which allow you to conveniently access AUSTRAC media releases as soon as they are published by having them delivered straight to you.
How do I get a news reader or aggregator
RSS feeds can be read using software called an ‘RSS reader' or ‘aggregator'. This software can be web-based, desktop-based or mobile-device-based. A quick web search will find many free or inexpensive news readers that offer various capabilities. Once set up, the software automatically checks the feeds and lets you read any news items which have been added.
A range of news readers and aggregators are available, and new versions are appearing all the time. Different software works on different operating systems, so you will need to choose one that will work with your computer or phone.
How do I start using AUSTRAC's RSS feed
Once you have chosen and loaded the software, you need to link your news reader/aggregator to AUSTRAC’s news feeds.
To do this, please follow these steps:
- Log into the news reader/aggregator and search for AUSTRAC.
- Alternatively, click Subscribe to media release RSS, copy the page URL and enter this link into your news reader/aggregator directly.
