Upcoming changes to enrolment and registration forms

Upcoming changes to enrolment and registration forms
A new and improved enrolment and registration experience through AUSTRAC Online (AO) will be introduced in November 2024.
The new forms will replace the current forms in AO that you use to enrol or register a new business, or update your details. They will be easier to use, with an enhanced user experience and more responsive interface for entering your business information.
This page contains further information about the change, including potential impacts for your business.
What will change?
The new enrolment and registration forms will provide:
- An enhanced enrolment and registration experience, using modern forms with an improved user experience.
- A simplified enrolment and registration process, particularly for reporting entities who both enrol and register. This is because the registration application is now separate from the enrolment application.
- Enrolment will be streamlined for new users, with an immediate email verification at the start of a new enrolment application.
- Improvements to messages and guidance on the forms, which will help to ensure the forms are clearer and simple to complete.
What will stay the same?
The following will stay the same following the launch of the new forms:
- You will continue to enrol, register, update your business details, deregister and un-enrol with AUSTRAC through AO.
- You will continue to access the enrolment and registration with your existing AO user access and permissions.
- There are no changes to your enrolment, registration or transaction reporting obligations under the AML/CTF Act.
How you can prepare
AUSTRAC Online outage on 9 November
There will be an AO system outage while the new forms are enabled. The outage will be from 8am to 2pm on Saturday 9 November 2024 AEDT (6 hours).
During the outage period, you will not be able log in to AO or submit transaction reports to AUSTRAC.
The new enrolment and registration forms will be available in AUSTRAC Online (AO) from 2pm on Saturday 9 November 2024 AEDT.
Arrangements during the AUSTRAC Online outage
Make sure you make appropriate arrangements for the outage period, and let affected staff know AO will be unavailable. For example, plan and ensure transaction reports are submitted in compliance with your obligations, either before or after the outage on 9 November 2024.
Saved enrolment and registration forms
Complete and submit any saved enrolment or registration forms before 8am on Saturday 9 November 2024 AEDT. Be aware that you will no longer have access to previously drafted enrolment and registration forms you have saved in AO, following the rollout of the new forms.
Feedback or questions
We value your feedback and input on the new enrolment and registration experience.
You can provide feedback or ask questions about the changes by emailing haveyoursay@austrac.gov.au.
Your feedback may be incorporated (where appropriate) into the enrolment and registration forms in the future.
