AUSTRAC has three main divisions:

  • Regulation, Education and Policy – regulates, educates and communicates with our reporting entities to help them meet their legal anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) obligations

  • Intelligence – develops and shares financial intelligence to stop financial crime and build capacity with partners

  • Capability and Strategy – creates and drives the workforce strategy and organisational culture that supports and enables our people and processes to function seamlessly.

2024 AUSTRAC employee census results
